Giveaway #1

To start off our month of giveaways, I have a little something hand made for one of you to enjoy.

My mom was a lover of note cards. One drawer in her desk was always dedicated to envelopes, paper and a supply of cards; particularly, pretty blank ones with space inside for writing. Mom was the queen of letter writing, whether it was weekly letters to her children, keeping in touch with old friends or countless little notes of cheer to brighten someone's day.

In this era of emails, texts and private messages, I fail miserably compared to my mom's letter writing. But I do love blank note cards. Keeping a few packs of them on hand means I have a card for any occasion... even if I forget said occasion until the very last minute, which I usually do. It's great to pick out a card that just matches the need perfectly, but some simple writing in a blank card can turn it into just what you need in a matter of minutes!

For my first giveaway, Jasmine created a set of six cards for me to give away to one of my readers, wasn't that sweet? Envelopes are included in the pack. Each card is hand drawn and blank inside so that you can use them for whatever occasion arises. They are intricate, detailed and so, so pretty; I don't know how she does it. You'll probably want to just keep them in your drawer to look at because they're too beautiful to use.

If you're like my mom and enjoy brightening someone's day with a note or like me, who never remembers to buy a card for that special occasion, these would be perfect.

For a chance to win this pack of six cards and envelopes, leave me a comment telling about the last time you wrote someone a note or a time when you were the recipient and someone's thoughtfulness made your day. Next Monday I will choose a winner so be sure to check back for that and to get in on giveaway #2 which will show you where Jasmine got her inspiration.

--------------------------------------
P.S. The sun is shining brightly this morning and the snow has nearly disappeared! The hope of spring is in the air and I'm looking forward to reading your comments.... have a good week!

Good morning Bethany! I love writing letters and notes. I'm part of a penpal group so I received a letter from my penpal a few weeks ago. I'm going to be writing her soon. Thank you Bethany for doing this giveaway.

I love letters/cards. I got one in the mail today from a friend of over 20 years. I think the last note I wrote was for a baby shower.
I do the same thing you do... Keep blank cards for all occasions. These are so so beautiful!

Braylynn writes me a little notes all most everyday. Normally just a few sweet words like “I love you mommy” or “I missed you mommy.” I do believe those cards would be to pretty to write in, but put in 6 frames aranged on the wall in a collage would be beautiful. ❤️

I received a note from my sister-in-law one day when I was discouraged with circumstances. She reminded me that God is in control and I could trust him.
On another note - My husband (who serves as a deacon in our church) has decided this year to send notes to our church friends as a way of encouraging them.

My friend in Texas just sent me a letter on a nice note card a couple of days ago. We met when we were stationed in Kentucky, but we have both moved since then. My eight year old daughter even has a penpal, that she writes to in NC. Your daughter is very talented.

Yesterday I wrote a note to my age-mate, cousin, minister, telling him how his choice of a benediction was such a good follow-up on something in our Sunday school class yesterday. We had studied the last part of Jude last Sunday and then Saturday night I came across what Anita Yoder had written (in her book) about that verse so I took the time to read it to my class (as a follow-up on the previous lesson). And then he used that very verse for our benediction. It was so neat to have that happen the same Sunday. LRM

Those cards are very pretty! I sent a stack of homemade cards and letters out early this week. Some to a home where the husband is laid up because of an accident. And 3 weeks ago I sent off a circle letter and another one is being prepared to send. I also like to make cards but they are very different from these. If I win, I'll send you a thank you card😉

Oh I forgot to mention; I love the succulents pictured with the cards! I think I need more tips from you 🤗

I'm always blessed when someone takes the time to send a birthday card or a whatever card with a hand written note inside that comes from the heart.
