Giveaway #2

I loved reading all your comments about giving and receiving notes. My personal favorite has to be this one from facebook  --

"My favorite note that I wrote was about 28 years ago. I drive a tractor in a field back and forth, back and forth down the rows and every other time I turned around I saw a glorious multicolored display of flowers in front of the house across the street. I got the house number off the mailbox and sent a note to the unknown lady who executed this work of living art. I just had to tell her how much her garden cheered me up and added so much beauty to my day. Well, she wrote back and invited me to visit! We had a wonderful time getting acquainted, she and I, and we became friends. An older widow with an Amish helper and a young lady new to farming and rural ways in general. I visited from time to time. One day I found her grown children at home with the message that Gretchen Amstutz had passed away from cancer. I never knew. I grieved, of course, but the memory of her is a very special blessing in my life, all because I sent a kind note to a stranger."

You never know the far reaching effects the bit of extra time and energy you put into writing a note might yield!

I used random.org to choose a number and the winner of the cards is..... Melinda Kornelson! Email me your address, Melinda, and I will get those cards sent your way. My email is christopherbethany@juno.com

This week's giveaway is a shout out to my oldest niece.

This lovely journal is a collaboration of my niece's artistic talent and the design skills of Abiart Creative.

In the front of the journal, Janae writes:

"... for as long as I can remember, drawing is something I loved. It has been a stress reliever, a way of expressing myself, and also one of the ways Jesus has worked in my life.

My grandma was my biggest fan, always supporting me and nudging me to show my drawings to the world. She passed away 3 years ago. These pieces are finally being printed for other people to enjoy, Grandma, because of you."

Mom would be so proud of her granddaughter.

The heart+art journal has plenty of lined pages to fill with whatever your heart desires. Scattered among the lined pages with Bible verses, await twelve unique illustrations - therapy for the mind and soul.

They're perfect for coloring...

Or just for staring at in awe...

Or for inspiration in making note cards...

It's the kind of journal that's so pretty I have a hard time actually using it.

For a chance to win this beauty, leave me a comment telling me what you might use it for. Would you keep a daily journal? Use it to write out scripture? Give it as a gift? Color the pictures? Keep it in your drawer to pull out and feast your eyes on occasionally? I'd love to hear.

Come back next Monday and I'll announce a winner and tell you about a book.

----------------------------
If you'd like to order a journal for yourself, they can be bought here. There's lots of other lovely items you might enjoy from Abiart Creative, go check it out!

Maybe give to my daughter.. I had talked to her about writing something down when she reads her Bible, and just recently she talked to me about it, and seemed to be enjoying that.

It looks lovely! I was just thinking about the need for me to journal daily in regards to my health journey I still am on. This journal would make it feel more special and inviting to do so. Maybe I'll have to order if I don't win. Marlene

It's very pretty. I would use it for a prayer journal but since I have enough journals of various kinds, I would give it to a young mom.

I'd use it! I love journaling. :)

That is beautiful! I would either use it for taking notes at church, or maybe for personal devotions. With three littles it’s difficult to find time for that, but I would love to use this to jot down verses/inspirations for the day.

What a lovely journal! I would use it as a gift or as a very special art journal of my own. I usually have several journals or notebooks on the go, but I don't often keep them uncluttered or "unscribbled". Seems like this one would call for precision and careful intention. :)

So pretty! I would probably use it for a prayer journal or to-do notebook. Not sure when I would have time to do the coloring

That is very pretty! I would use it as a devotional journal; and I'm not sure whether I would colour the pictures or not...

I'd like to write collective notes to my son, that is only eight months old now, as a memento for him when he's grown. I enjoy adult coloring books but this book has more options for purpose.

If I won, I would give it to my very sweet friend in Nashville, who is always sending us gifts in the mail. M

Thanks for hosting such a lovely giveaway! The journal is beautiful, and if I owned it, I would like to use it for a "commonplace book" to write down interesting things I have read, writing ideas, or memorable things the children say! Interestingly enough, I stumbled upon Abiart cards at a Mennonite store in PA back in December, and loved them, so when I was back in the area yesterday, I stocked up on more cards at two more store! It's fun to know that the artist is a niece of yours! Her artwork is really special!
